LUTTAI

What is the Enlightenment? What is LUTTAI?

Enlightenment is humanity’s emergence from its involuntary ignorance and the resulting suffering.

Ignorance is the natural state of human beings. This is not their fault, because every person is born ignorant and without free will into a world that is not inherently benevolent. Ignorance leads to suffering because the causes of suffering, or ways to alleviate it, are unknown.

In the process of enlightenment, we humans use critical thinking (Related video) to discover ever better explanations and solutions that will free us from ignorance and suffering.

Have the understanding and patience to recognize that no one can be better than they are. But also have a well-founded belief in every individual and in humanity as a whole to become better than we are. And have the openness and courage to accept criticism as a gift and to offer criticism yourself in order to create a better world together.

“Together rather than against each other” could therefore serve as a motto for a more realistic, non-accusatory approach to enlightenment in the 21st century (more on this).

“We err ourselves upward” by “letting ideas die before people have to die for them.”

LUTTAI seeks to contribute to this open discussion. In search of the unfolding of life, because:

We are all life that wants to unfold, in the midst of life that wants to unfold.

LUTTAI - Declaration of belief

I believe in us humans, sentient beings in the stream of evolution.

I believe that we are all one in our humanity, and yet each of us is unique.

I believe that we can love our neighbors, those far away, and ourselves, if we understand love as the desire for the species-appropriate and individual-appropriate unfolding of life, as long as this does not come at the expense of others.

I believe that every human being is a prisoner of the ideas that work within them and therefore no one can be better than they are, but that we can help each other to become better than we are through loving criticism.

I believe that through enlightened thinking, discussion, and action, we will find better ways to increase the well-being of us humans and our sentient relatives on Earth and to reduce suffering.

I believe that we can become the most empathetic, social, and wise beings if we listen to each other, work together, combine our strengths, and try to create a more livable world together.

I believe in us humans, sentient beings on the difficult path to humanity.

Goals

  1. Spreading of a new view of what intelligence is. The core message is:

Intelligence is not a personality trait, but rather a characteristic of an idea or action when it enhances the well-being of us humans and/or other sentient animals; and stupidity is the opposite, that is, an idea or action that causes suffering. There are therefore no longer intelligent or stupid people, but only intelligent or stupid actions; and every person is capable of acting intelligently, whilst naturally every person also acts stupidly at times. And we can explore, in an open discussion, the difficult question of how we can act intelligently and in a way that promotes well-being more and more often.
In every classroom on this earth, it should therefore be written that no human being is stupid, but that every human being is unique, has strengths and weaknesses and that this diversity makes us so incredibly strong when we manage to work together, we complement and expand each other. Let's celebrate our uniqueness, unite our strengths and try to create a better world together, for us humans and our animal relatives. Let's try to act intelligently more and more often.

  1. Explore the question of what it might mean to act in a way that is beneficial (intelligent) to oneself, intelligent toward all fellow human beings, and intelligent toward as many other sentient beings as possible. Seek out and introduce actions, projects, and people who attempt to act in this spirit.
  1. Establishment of a well-being-promoting, intelligent economic model
